Good Morning! Khristina here and his month's kit is one of my favorites. Yes, I know...I say that every month. BUT....I just adore this new collection from Paige Evans and the cut files to go along with it are just spot on this month. This kit is so versatile that you can use it for just about any occasion and I decided today to would be the perfect day to put a Disney spin on it!
My first job was modifying this month's cut file to create a stitching template that I could use for a border element. *I talk about this in the process video if you want to see how I did that! Then, I got started stitching using the embroidery thread that came with this month's kit as well as one additional color from my stash.
After I had all of that stitching done, I cut out the center of the one of the flowers and made it a mini shaker pocket with a few sequins from my stash. *A quick and easy way to do this part is also in that process video if you aren't too familiar with making shaker pockets.
Then, I knew that I wanted to create a fun look with my journaling so I made an interactive flip folder to layer underneath my photo. The whimiscal frames paper from this kit was the perfect place to add a few comments of journaling or even a longer story if I wanted that too. I added a few embellishment and sprinkled a few more sequins and then added a title to the top overlapping my photo and that was it. Easy peasy (and fun) Disney layout with some interactive elements and cut stitching.
I hope that you will stop by the process video where you can see a lot more detail into how this all came together and how I modified that cut file to create a stitching template. I just know that you are going to love this month's kit just as much as I do!
