Happy Thursday everyone! Erica here with you today to talk about one of my favorite tools. Well actually two tools, my die cutting machine and my dies! A die cutting machine cuts shapes out of a variety of materials using either a steel rule die or the thin metal dies. There are so many great dies available now and so many possibiltes with them! You can use them to create your own embellishments, home decor and party decorations, greeting cards, and also mini albums. Today I want to share how I used one of the new Lawn Fawn die sets Stitched Party Banners to create base pages for my mini album. I pulled out my June 2014 Clique Kit Show & Tell and decided on a few papers for my base pages. Using the biggest banner die from the die set I ran them through my WRMK Evolution Advanced die cutting machine! I love how these dies from Lawn Fawn have the faux stitching around them. I also used the heart die that comes in the kit to cut out some heart shapes to add as embellishment for my album and also to punch out heart shapes in my base pages! I love the look of cut out shapes on my pages! This album is going to document a class I took with Heidi Swapp at Hannah's Home Accents in Antioch, IL. I had the best time ever and Heidi Swapp is the sweetest person ever! I also met up with a few great friends I have met online through Facebook and Instagram! One of them all the way from Texas! So awesome to connect with people who share the same passion and love for creating! Here is a look at a little video I put together using the Flipagram app. If you have been following our blog and Facebook you may have seen a few other Flipagrams from us Clique Kits girls! We love to share our process with you and this app is so much fun!
I hope you have been inspired to pull out your dies and create something fun! We would love to see what you are creating with your Clique Kit so please share with us on Facebook or tag us on Instagram! Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you all have a great day!
