Hello, loves! Donna here with you today. I'm gonna be sharing another layout using the March "Malama" Main and TN kits!
This is not the original idea I had in mind when I started with my scrapbook layout. But I wasn't satisfied with how it was turning out so I stopped and made a new one. This is the result!
I've been trying out a lot of things to my scrapbooking layouts/projects lately. This time, I tried embossing and fringing. I bought this fringing scissors in a variety store for curtains, gardening/laundry stuff!
Then I also embossed a plain yellow cardstock to add interesting texture to the layout. I cut lots of half circles and adhered them to the edge of the white cardstock in the middle. I think it tied up the cardstocks to the colors of the patterned papers and embellishments. Stitching the edges was the one that took the most time if I were to rank each process in creating this layout. I did it while listening to my "Favorite" songs in Youtube.
I curled the fringes a bit as well though I know they will be flattened anyway when I put them in an album
The watercolor splatters, puffy stickers and enamels added more texture and colors and made the white background more interesting.
I hope you liked my project today and it inspired you to try out something new in your next layout or project too.
