Hello, loves! Donna here to share my first project using the March "Malama" kit featuring the Pick Me Up collection by Paige Taylor Evans. I used both the Main and Traveler's Notebook kit.
I had fun with this layout, though it took me a couple of days to finish just stitching the flower cut file (it was worth it though).
I used a piercer and a thick foam to pierce holes around the flower cut file. I used the teal and pink crochet threads, alternating the two. I used the 6 x 6 paper pad to back the biggest flower and the 2 x 2 squares for the smaller flower in the middle. These papers are included in the TN kit.
This is how my scrapbook layout turned out!
I have to say, it's really therapeutic, the stitching. I wish I have an audio book while doing this! It would have been heaven! So, I just contented myself with listening to my fave songs and even watched a couple of episodes of The Flash. Stitching for the win!
I mounted the cut files with some thin foam tapes for a bit of height. I also added a doily and some messy thread in the middle, under the photo.
I trimmed half an inch off the bottom and one side of the white cardstock and mounted on a colorful paper included in the main kit. And then scattering the enamels and puffy stickers completed my layout.
I played around this layout quite a bit adding embellishments here and there. In the end, I decided to keep it simple and clean (as opposed to my usual style). It's quite a change but I like how it turned out!
That's all for today! I hope you liked my layout and don't hesitate to leave a comment if you have any questions regarding today's project.
