Donna here with a scrapbook layout for today's post. I used both the January "Rhapsody" Main and Traveler's Notebook kits for my layout.
And this oldie but goodie cut file in the digital shop. It's included in the October 2015 exclusive cut files.
I cut the file twice using white cardstock and adhered one on top of the other for a bit of dimension, but not too much. Then I tilted it as you see in the image to make it look like a diamond instead of a square. I just trimmed of the excess and it's good to go.
The 6x6 paper pad in the TN kit is perfect when it comes to backing cut files like this one I used. It also helped that the design is easier to trace than others (not too intricate or irregular shape).
I placed my photo slightly off the middle part and started with layers of doily and messy thread. Then, I tucked the other embellishments to create a beautiful cluster of die cut and stickers around the focal point.
I made a cute little bow out of the glittery gold trim too! It turned out really cute, it's a bit tiny but I love it.
Then I played with how I spelled my title. Instead of "Beautiful" I changed it to "Be-You-Tiful". It made the whole layout more interesting.
This one is a pretty straight-forward layout but changing the angle of the cut file and playing with how the title was spelled gave it a bit of flair. Try it on your next project! Would love to see it so don't forget to share it with us on Instagram (don't forget to tag us @cliquekits) or on our Facebook group, The Clique!
