Happy Friday! If you didn't already know this about me, I am a huge travel fanatic! I love to explore the world, embrace huge (and small) adventures, and learn about new cultures and places. Anyone with me? Well, every once in awhile, I travel somewhere that I am excited about but don't realize how much of an impact it is going to leave on me. A few years ago, we went to Alaska for seven days and I was excited but I didn't really know what to expect and certainly didn't think I would leave a piece of my heart there.
Those are the types of stories that I include in my personal traveler's notebook. The stories that my kids and my family may not know. The little things and important details that have made me...well...me! So for today's traveler's notebook project, I used the main kit and its gorgeous colors to write a love letter to Alaska. I kept the embellishments centered on the left hand page around my photo as well as in the bottom right corner. I knew that I needed a lot of room for the words and the story and because that was the important part of this particular spread, that is where most of the space was dedicated.
Let me just mention for a second how well that little heart die cut fits just perfectly inside the edge of that cork ampersand from the ephemera pack?! Also, that amazing washi tape in this kit?! The perfect little detail to go along with this collection and this kit!
I encourage you to think of an unexpected story today! Something that has made an impression on you that was beyond what you expected. Your family will want to know those stories someday and I would love to see what you create.
