Aloha!! It's Hannah with you here today and I am actually going to mix both the Main and Traveler's Notebook Cornucopia kit's together for my Project Life Spread. I actually do more of a monthly type spread, only adding a month card and then filling pockets until the end of the month. I don't worry too much about the week numbers. It's my way of trying to not stress about how many slots I need to fill if I have a small photo week. I am mostly working on the week before Halloween. It was filled with tons of Autumn photos and not many of my kids and I. I knew my Clique Kits would be perfect for this week. All the leaves and warm colors of the main kit really say Autumn. Let's take a look at my spread and what I did.
I really like to make my own Project Life filler cards. This has been a bit of a downfall because it generally takes me about two hours to fill a 12x24 size pocket protector. The thing is I have tried doing it really simple, and it's just not that fun. My advice to anyone struggling with Project Life, is try lots of different things until you find what works for you.
This kit was so much fun to play with, having tons of things to cut out of the pattern paper to use as embellishments. The whole die cut pack from Pebbles has some really pretty pieces as well.
For my side I used two of the 3x4 journaling cards from Illustrated Faith. I traced over the leaf to cover the phrase on the leaf because it didn't really go with my photos.
I really love to do this kind of thing, making the pieces work for you. With just vellum and another piece of patterned paper on the leaf, I created some dimension and interest to the card.
I also added some of the tiny acorns from one of the pattern papers on the other 3X4 journaling card as an embellishment cluster with the enamel hearts.
I used my sewing machine with one of the circle die cuts on top of some patterned paper. I love the way a little stitching looks on handmade journaling cards. If you don't have a sewing machine even twisting some thread in a circle and adding it to some layered embellishments looks cool too.
I wanted to add journaling for my bottom photo, even though there wasn't visible space. I took a grid journaling card from my stash and added a tab from the Traveler's Notebook Kit to the top of the card with a mini staple. I tucked it behind the acorn and stitched diet card.
I love how my bottom photo looks in black and white with that black calligraphed die cut looks. With all the color on my page this is a little place of peace.
Here is a look at the whole first side of my Project Life. I am using a design A protector. I have found this to be a staple this year in mainstreaming my process.
This week I did have a lot of 3X4 photos, and they were horizontal which is a bit weird. I normally use 3X4 for vertical photos. I liked having a bit of space for journaling right next to these photos. It allowed more space for filler cards which was nice for a change.
For the second side of my Project Life, I really played. I added a piece of vellum over a foggy autumn tree. I really like how the tree outline peeks through the vellum. I added a silhouette cut leaf and a sticker from One Canoe Two from the September Main Kit.
I a couple of the 3X4 Journalling cards from the Traveler's Notebook Kit designed by Zinia. I love the muted colors on these two cards. The Love card looks cool with some stitching, gold thread and an exclusive flair button.
I added some red line tape on the foam piece of this bow and added it to the front of my page protector. This will make sure it doesn't go anywhere, since it is too bulky to fit inside the pocket.
I added a couple of torn paper strips at the bottom of my photo in similar colors as the leaves in the picture. This really helps tie the photos I am using to the papers I am using throughout my spread. I also added a gold leaf rub on from the Traveler's Notebook kit. I really like how easy they rub onto photos.
Some tiny acorns, a bit of hand journalling and the date stamped on in black ink from One Canoe Two and that finishes off this photo.
Here is a look at the full second side of my protector. I love that I got to use lots of big 4x6 photos that really speak Autumn. The top picture of my dog playing outside in the fog is my favorite photo of the week. All that fog is so typical of the mornings here in Washington. It often doesn't get clear until the afternoon, and as the sun spreads all those clouds it's magical. I used my DSLR for that photo, and I made sure I used Photoshop to edit it. With all that sun, it messes with the exposure. I really wanted to highlight that bright sun so I added another One Canoe Two word Stickers with the date in the middle of the sun glare.
I added lots of layers and stitching to my cards. I also make sure I journal a lot on my spreads. I love adding pretty pictures but combined with words, really makes our week come alive. Even a really simple week filled with school, work and chores. The Autumn colors and creating really rejuvenates me.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my spread. Maybe even got an idea or two. I can't wait to see what you are creating in the Clique Facebook group. Share your November Kits and the beautiful spreads you are making.

This time of year is so busy and filled with memory making, we want to be sure our subscribers and friends are well prepared to scrap and craft the holidays away. We are going to make it really easy and inexpensive for you to get your holiday inspiration delivered to your front door! Designer collections, must have embellishments, and all of the little extras that make Clique Kits unique and special- all affordable and a special value for our subscribers especially!
So, without further ado, meet the very first Clique Cards Holiday Edition…
Even though we are naming it Clique Cards, this kit is perfect for holiday cards, tags, stationery, and party decorations and even pocket page or traditional scrapbooking layouts. Oh! Deer was just released this summer by Fancy Pants Designs and features a beautiful, fresh and modern take on the traditional Christmas colors adding in a pop of aqua blue and a little pink for fun. Of course, while the patterned paper will be from a full 6 x 6 pad and scaled for cards, there is no reason you would have to use this kit just for cards. But we know from our in house card expert who designed this kit, Erica Thompson, that card makers are going to just LOVE it!
Clique Kits wants you to get your hands on this kit when you can maximize use of it all season long just as soon as the products become available from the manufacturers. So DON'T WAIT for the full kit reveal to order as it may be too late by then!
Price Only $24.99
Subscribers save $5 off the kit price to pre-order and have Clique Cards shipped with the October kit at no extra shipping charge!

It is a sampler of holiday favorites! In fact, all four Clique Kits girls selected their favorite new products and painstakingly crafted a beautiful, perfectly coordinated kit we know will be thoroughly usable for any purpose and a variety of styles! Today I want to share a few cards I created with the May kit - Field Trip. I have two short tutorials as well showing how I put two of the cards together. There will be lots of pictures so lets get started!
Shaker cards have been around for quite some time now. I just want to show you how I made this particular shaker card.
The next step-by-step is shorter. I just want to show you the elements I picked for a journal card to make it my own. As you see below, I set out some embellishments that I considered using on the card and they played around with where I wanted to place these elements. Working with different shapes and sizes.
I loved how many journal cards came with the May kit! So of course I found ways to use them. I used them creating journal cards as well as cards.
I also love to make cards with scraps of the kit. The card below I used a Studio Calico Acetate Sheet to help enhance the pieces of this kit I found laying around. I paired it with a bubble word (which will be available in the Clique Kits store soon!)
There you have it! There are so many uses for the bits and pieces of your kits as well and uses for journal cards to really make them your own and fit your projects and personality!
Before you go! Here is a quick view into our June kit - Show & Tell! June subscriptions still available. The kit will go into our shop tomorrow to be purchased as a single kit.
Happy Friday, it's Jody here with another fun Locker Room post. Today I'm talking about adding different kids of memorabilia right onto your scrapbook layouts. I think many of us have some type of memorabilia or another ~ concert tickets, movie stubs, lock of baby hair, birthday lists, school artwork.. the list goes on! Here are some examples of memorabilia I have in my stash... and yes I do have a little stash of these gems.
I have a few pieces of clothing I have saved. The 'sweet' and 'I heart grandma's hugs' shirts were well-worn tops of our little girls and I always loved the embroidery details of them! They were stained in all those typical areas kids dribbled onto, but luckily for the cute areas were spared. So, here's what I did. I trimmed them out from the clothing and challenged myself to utilize them in my scrapbooking.
And here's my layout, which pretty much uses up the rest of my April Debutante Kit!! I was so happy with the number of projects I squeezed out of my Debutante kit. May will be no exception with how packed that kit is also.
The bright pink flower at the bottom center of my layout is the flower from Sari's yellow and white striped top in the photo! That cute top of new last Spring and Sari only wore it to school once before she spilled black acrylic paints on it at school :( Well, she continued to wear it through the summer but I just couldn't get over that big black blotch on it. So, I decided to use the shirt a couple different ways. First and foremost, I HAD to use that cute pink flower somewhere in my scrapbooking! One of the last times she wore that top was when we baked cookies in August of last year, right before school started. After that day, I retired the top and cut it up! The flower found a new home on this scrapbook page and easily could have been added to a headband, skirt or even a pair of jeans! You could also use the fabric for patching holes in jeans and more! And now, here are some close ups and other angles of my layout.
Above, you can see my messy stitching. I don't think there's any other way I can machine sew.. it's always messy! But, whether your stitching is totally perfect and neat like out guest designer's Danielle or a pretty little mess like mine, it's sure to add some fun texture and interest to your layout or card. You can tell, I only had small pieces of my Debutante papers to work with here, so I spiced it up a bit with some splattered ink, resin embellishments and some sweet Pink Fresh Studio wood veneers!
I know Erica reminded you all yesterday but, make sure you connect with us outside our blog. Here's where you can find us: Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and sign up for our Newsletter! I'm back for another Yearbook Tuesday post! Today I want to share a layout I created using the Debutante kit. At this point in my creating, I was running low on April Debutante product. Of course, I didn't want any piece to go to waste so I created this layout with scraps from the kit that I had left over. And while doing that, I used a collage of photos of my husband and I throughout the years.
I love how this layout developed and how I was able to use scrappaper, journal cards, die cuts and various elements included in the kit. I enjoyed looking through my photos, finding some new and old that would work together to create a layout that I "cherish".
How do you use your scraps? Do you make cards, use them on layouts or give them away! Share with us on how you use them!
Thanks for joining me today! Can you believe it is almost May! That means more inspiration and a new fabulous kit! Have a scrap happy day!

We are so excited to have not just ONE guest designer but TWO this month to help launch our kit club! We already shared some projects from Danielle, now lets get to know Brooke! We fell in love with Brooke's page protector pages! Look how she used this method of documenting life with our April Kit - Debutante!
BROOKE: My husband and I were married in June of 2010. We honeymooned in Jamaica immediately following the wedding. When we returned from Jamaica, I promptly got to work sorting through wedding photos and getting all of my favorites out of digital files and into actual albums.
And then, life started rolling along and I somehow forgot to ever scrapbook our time in Jamaica.
When I saw the Debutante kit, I immediately knew that it would be a perfect fit for scrapbooking our honeymoon. The bright colors and bold patterns mesh so beautifully with our beach and foliage photos. Many of the sentiments on the cards, thickers and other embellishments seemed to call out to be used in a honeymoon album.
Four years and two kids later, I can't tell you how much fun it was to look back through these photos. Creating the album also provided some good reminiscing with Brian as I worked to fill in my journaling with specific details from our trip.
This kit was so much fun to work with. I used a bit of almost everything - papers, journaling cards, wood veneers, thickers and badges.
I have always been jealous of albums with sequin-filled see-through pockets. I thought it wasn't possible for me since I don't know how to use my sewing machine, but I decided to try filling a pocket with wood veneers and hand sewing with embroidery floss. Guess what. It worked! And, I love how it turned out.
Although I wish I would have recorded more details of our trip immediately after our arrival home, I think it was worth it to wait to put the album together. More journaling would have been nice, but I think the album does a good job of capturing the spirit of our trip. Working with these photos gave me so much joy and brought back many happy memories that can now be relived each time we flip through this album.
And, I'm not done putting this kit to good use. Little bits have been finding their way into several of my weekly Project Life pages and later this week I will share one weekly layout that is exclusively made with this kit. Thanks so much, Clique Kit girls!
CLIQUE KITS: Brooke also shared this awesome video below showing spreads in the album she created using the April Kit! ENJOY!
Thanks for being one of our Students of the Month, Brooke!! To see more of Brooke's work check out our April Kit Blog Share this Wednesday, April 23! Starting right here at the Clique Kits blog at 10am CST.
We also have a special announcement today, so be sure you are a fan of our Facebook page and see the previous post today (located below!)
Have a Scrap happy day!
Hello Clique Kits fans! Erica here with you today to share a pocket page layout I did yesterday. Baseball season has started which means my nights will be spent at the baseball fields from now until June! This year we have two of our kids playing so that will be 4 games a week! Crafting time will be cut short for this mama but that is ok with me! Clique Kits has put together kits that make creating quick and simple with coordinating and exclusive products!
Today I want to share with you what I created yesterday late afternoon right before my son's first baseball game! I have had these photos of our two youngest boys sitting on my desk and I knew this kit would be a perfect match for the photos! Debutante has some great black and whites to use as neutrals but also has great pops of color! The color I wanted to really make pop was the yellow from the swing in the photos! I knew this kit had a great yellow flair badge that went perfectly and just happens to have the word PLAY on it and the heart shaped colorblock wood veneers with yellow from Pinkfresh Studio are also a perfect match! Here is a look at my completed pocket page layout!
This style pocket page has room for 4 4x6 photos or cards. I used two of the 4x6 Clique Kits exclusive journal cards for the top two spots and for the bottom left corner I created my own card using pattern paper from the kit and a white piece of cardstock. The last 4x6 spot I ended up using the two 3x4 Clique Kits exclusive journal cards together to create one 4x6! I love how it looks! These Clique Kits exclusive journal cards are not your typical cardstock journal cards. They are nice sturdy journal card with a bit of a shine to them! The quality is amazing and our very own Lacey Gasper has designed each and every one! I used a regular thin point sharpie to add my journaling and there is no smearing or smudges! This kit is great for both girl and boy themed projects. Adding pops of pink instead of the yellow would have made for a very cute girly page for photos of my daughter! I love that this kit offers the great black and whites and the colorful embellishments so that you can add pops of color where ever your heart desires! The possibilities are endless with this kit! Here are a few close ups of my pocket page layout.
Thank you so much for stopping today here on the Clique Kits blog! I hope you are having as much fun with our first kit as I am! Please join us next week for our Blog Share featuring Debutante! We have added a few new items to the Clique Kits shop that coordinate with our first kit that you are just going to love! So make sure to head on over and check them out! We are so excited to be shipping our kits to our subscribers in a little over a week and sharing the love of this awesome kit with all our friends! This week we will show you some projects we have created with this fabulous kit -- Debutante.
Something that I want to bring to our friends every month is journal card sketches! To give you a way to use your products in your stash or even your Clique Kits. If you use these sketches please share on our Flickr page or Facebook page and tag Clique Kits!
Above are the 6 sketches I created to work with the April Kit - Debutante. These are created at 3" x 4", but feel free to adapt the size to fit your projects!
Above you will see the sketch with the finished journal card. These cards were all created with mostly the April kit. There are a few embellishments and white card stock that I added. I also used some water color paints and vellum on the far right card. I followed the sketches for the most part, but also tried to make it my own and give the each their own personality.
These journal cards are already in my "My Life" album ready for photos to compliment them! I hope you get some use out of these sketches as well and can use your personalized cards in your Yearly albums and scrapbook projects! Remember share with us on Facebook or in our Flickr Group!
Haven't subscribed to our kit club yet? There are a limited amount of kits left. Start your subscription before they are sold out. You will receive all the great products below, including a page of printables and die cuts to use with your Silhouette die cutting machine!
Thank you for stopping by today! Remember we are sharing projects all week showing off this fabulous it!! Stop by throughout April as well for even more projects from the Clique Kit gals, our Guest Designer (tbd) and Clique Friends!!
Happy Tuesday and Happy documenting!
