Hello Friends! Maryám here to share with you a layout using my January 2017 Rhapspdy Kits. For this project I'm also using one of the cut files that I designed for this month.
While I was designing the cut file I got the idea to create a layout and use the cut file as a dream catcher so once I had the kit in my hands the first thing I did was to create this layout.
When I started this page I cut three times the cut file. The size of them was too small for what I wanted so I decided to cut a big one. Once I had it cut I backed it with a purple 6x6 paper from the Traveler's Notebook Kit and I put it in the center of my page. After that, I traced some lines with a pencil then I punched some holes and I added hand-stitching.
The photo I'm using today is a selfie with my sister that we took with the Instax Camera. I love the size of this photos because they are perfect for an 8 1/2 x 11" layout and also for Traveler's Notebooks.
Here are some close-ups:
I hope you liked this project. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello Clique Fans!! Erica here with you today and I am so excited to share some of the fun Valentine products we have in the Clique Kits shop from Crate Paper Main Squeeze collection.
This year we are not doing a Limited Edition kit but we do have a lot of a la carte items for you to create fun projects! Our Creative Director Gia has also put together some fun and unique embellishment kits for you and you can find them HERE! These are very limited so grab one today! We have some fun corrugated paper from Fancy Pants Designs that will help add texture to your projects! I think it would be so cute to cut out some hearts with the corrugated paper and layer pattern paper on top and use on a layout or card! You can find our selection of papers HERE! I will also make sure to link all products down below for you!
One thing I knew I had to get from the Main Squeeze collection is the stamp set! It is small but mighty and can be used for so much! Since I do not have any paper from this collection I am going to use the stamp set to create my own pattern paper! Seriously the little cherries will make the cutest paper! Also using the Happy Valentine Day sentiment repeating on white cardstock is going to look awesome! I will share the completed project with everyone in a later post!
Of coarse you are going to need some mixed media products as well to add to your projects and we have some great ones! You can find all our mixed media HERE but lets get to the ones I pulled to go with the Crate Paper Main Squeeze! First I have some great mists in Pink Moscato and Snowstorm. You will love these two splattered on your projects to add a fun touch!
We also have some Shimmerz Paints and the color I pulled is called Buddys Favorite Color! The stock photo just does not do these colors justice! This color is gorgeous and a must for your Valentine projects!
I really love the waterfall sticker pack from the Main Squeeze collection. It has a ton of great heart stickers but under the heart stickers are these great word stickers in some great colors! You are totally going to need a pack of these and OH do not forget the ephemera!
Lets talk about adorable! I just can not get over how much you get in this pack and the cutie pieces that come in it! Here is a shot of some of the bits I pulled out of my pack!
My favorite has to be this cutie pineapple! Is the pineapple image ever going to go out of style? I think not! It pops up in every season not matter what!
If you haven't check out all the Valentine fun in the shop you can find most of it HERE! We also have some great Valentine cutfiles and printables and I will make sure to link those down below for you! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I can not wait to see what you all create with all these fun products! Have a great day!
Hello, everyone! Donna here sharing another fun project using the January "Rhapsody" kits
Here is what I came up with for today's post
I was inspired by one of the exclusive cut files this month, the Mandala cut file. At first, I wanted to do a dream catcher but ended up with this page design instead.
I cut it in 4 parts and planned to adhere to the four corners. But I decided to do just 2 corners in the end. I used the Prima Marketing Inc Watercolor Confections - The Classics to color the cut file. Then backed it using papers from the Main and TN kits. Mostly scraps so don't throw away those tiny papers.
I combined the colors teal, purple, blue and pink to make splatters to the background before adhering everything to place. When I make splatters, I tend to wipe them away or blot them with tissue paper right away. It will leave a subtle color to the background. But if I want them a bit vivid, I let it sit for a while before blotting it with a tissue paper. That's why you'll notice some are subtle and some are vivid. Blotting also lessens the drying time (because most of the time, I'm too lazy to take out the heat tool lol!)
That's basically what I did with the bottom corner as well. And to make the edges stand out, I mixed blue and black watercolors and brushed the outer and inner edges of the cut files.
That's all for today! I hope you liked my page!
Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting!
Hi everyone! Khristina here and I am SUPER excited today because I get to share one of my favorite techniques with you today. This month, we have an amazing free cut file available in the Clique Kits shop and it looks like this:
I was really excited to play with this one because of all of the fun lines and geometric properties. I decided rather than backing it with patterned paper from the kit, I would use my favorite technique--hand-stitching. I simple cut this cut file out of black cardstock and used it as a template to punch holes for stitching. The bonus here is that I still have the cut file and can use it again! Then, I chose some embroidery thread in six of the colors that matched the January Rhapsody kit and those gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla papers.
I printed my photo in black and white to really help it pop off the page and then I kept my embellishing fairly simply. I used dimensional adhesive foam to elevate my photo off of the background and used a thin white cardstock mat as well as a thin mat from the floral patterned paper in the 6x6 paper pad. Don't you just love that Cocoa Vanilla has 6x6 paper pads now?! I know that I do! The Celebrate Thickers included in the kit made a perfect title addition that I adhered right on top of the bottom edge of my photo.
Last, but not least, I added a few butterflies from the ephemera pack and TN Sticker Tablet from Carpe Diem by Simple Stories. Creating these fun layers of embellishments around my photo really made my photo the star and the stitching detail the supporting role which is just how I like it.
And, just like that, the layout was done! I know that hand-stitching can sometimes seem overwhelming and time consuming but it is a technique and look that I just adore. Have you tried hand-stitching on your pages yet?
Here is the video version of how this layout came together. I would absolutely love it if you would stop by my channel and check it out! I would love to see you grab this free cut file from the shop and give it a try! As always, I would love to see what you create.
Hello! It’s Réka. Today I like to show you some easy DIY projects.
I have got a lot of simple clips and wooden clothespins in my stash so I have decided to decorate them with the January main kit’s Dear Lizzy ribbons and Maggie Holmes: Chasing Dreams rhinestones.
I have cut off one piece from the ribbon, turned half, added some machine stitching and finally I put one rhinestone. I love the result so much.
For the wooden clothespins I added one piece of double side tape and after I adhered one piece ribbon. I really like how it turned out.
The January main kit was so popular and now it is out of stock but the good news that you can buy the ribbons and rhinestones separately here. Don’t forget to use my code Reka10 to get 10% off your total purchase.
Finally, I also decorated the paper bag which come with the kit. It contained the cute Heidi Swapp: Watercolor Memory Dex Cards and the Library Cards. I added one word and frame from the Vicki Boutin: All the good Things Pack. Now, I can collect my notes to this bag. I love this monochromic style.
I hope you are inspired to create some cute clips. Thanks for joining me today.
Hello Hello! It is Sara joining you today and I am super excite to share this elegant TN spread with you! I love art...really. I have done more then a few tours of The Met and I just needed to snap photos of all the art! But when it came time to scrap those trips, I set the art photos aside and focussed on the stories of the trip. Enter TN inserts! These inserts are perfect for these kinds of photos. I get to document something I love and the small size means I dont have more large albums I need to store! The Rhapsody kit was the absolute perfect fit for this photo of one of Monet's Waterlilies paintings .
I used one of the cutfiles included in the kit and sized it so I could cut it from a 6X6 paper and it fits in my TN perfectly! I love the circular detail it provides.
I embellished the cut file with some silver sequins to add a little extra detail. And some fun doodling to add some whimsy to my butterfly.
You can watch my process for creating this horizontal TN in my process video too!
If you have extra "scenery" photos from trips, why not try documenting them in a TN ?
